London 2006
Back to london for more work. The really unfortunate part is the work schedule. See, you go in for your 8 to 5 only to find that around 3pm all your US collegues have woken up and started asking questions. This leaves you working till midnight from the hotel bar every night and not experiencing London. I did manage to get 2 short days out, here is every photo I managed to snap. Yes some of them are repetitive. I did try to "hire" some roller blades to go rollerblading in hyde park (it's enormous) but it rained that day, maybe i'll get another chance to break my neck. I did get to see speakers corner and watch the radical people spout on about various things to incite a riot.
The most unsettling bit about this trip was that 2 days before I was to return there was a bomb scare about planes (hence you're current inabilities to take liquid on board). The bombers were gonna take out (potentially) a plane that I was to ride on, on the day I was to ride on it. scary. Sometimes it takes something like that to bring it a bit closer to home. In anycase, I delayed my flight by a few days to make sure I could make it back both safely and without 10 hrs in the airport waiting for a plane. Fortuneatly they lifted some of the ban so my good ol nintendo DS could get me thru the trip.
