This creation is an interpretation of a salad a friend of my described to me. The ingrediants were somewhat different, but it is a similar presentation style. The salad consists of greens, beansprouts, marinated avocado, marinated shrimp (crab is pictured above), topped with red onion. For the "dressing" I cooked up a spicy indonesian peanut sauce. How does this differ from a thai peanut sauce? Good question. The indonesian peanut sauce consists of more spices, (most prominently curry) which gives the sauce a less sweet taste and more of a spicy umph to it. It goes well with the lemon in the avocado. Most people are afraid to wreak the salad, however, I find it best to mix it up and use the peanut sauce as needed per bite.
