Like Baba Ganouj, Hummus is another one of those standard appetizers you expect to see in any Middle Eastern dinner. This dip of ground chickpeas is served with toasted pita. The other reason I really like this dish is because everything you need to make it, you can keep in the pantry or the fridge long term. And if you have friends over, you can always whip up a dip for them.
